San Ramon Marriott
The main venue for our wedding is San Ramon Marriott. We will have welcome event June 10, 2016, Friday evening. All wedding events are on Saturday and Sunday. Please book your hotel room directly with hotel.
Oakland International Airport
OAK airport is most desirable as it is closest from the hotel and most convenient.
San Jose International Airport
You may also consider Sacramento International Airport which is about 1 hour 30 minutes driving time.
San Francisco International Airport
The San Ramon Marriott is within 30 to 40 minutes of Oakland International (OAK), San Jose International (SJC) and San Francisco International (SFO) airports.
The Proposal
The proposal took place in Napa Valley. The weekend before the proposal I was in Napa with Dev to visit his family. During the weekend his parents mentioned they had hot air balloon tickets for the following weekend which they were not going to be able to use (little did I know, this was all part of the plan!). They asked us if we wanted to go, and I and Dev said yes (hot air balloon in Napa was something I had wanted to do for so long).
After coming back from Napa, during the week my family was acting a little weird throughout the week and I kept asking tons of question to get to the reason but I couldn’t get anything out of them. Then that Friday I went to Napa for balloon ride. The next morning, we went on the hot air balloon ride bright and early at 6am. Honestly, everything seemed suspicious and I kept thinking he was going to propose on the hot air balloon ride. But then nothing happened on the hot air balloon ride. Afterward we went to brunch and then went back home. His parents were getting ready to go to “San Francisco”.
After they left we were going to meet up with Devang's mama, mami, and cousins at a winery to do some tastings and hang out. Once we got to Pine Ridge Winery, the music started “Not a bad thing to fall in Love” by Justin Timberlake and Devang started to sing along with the music, pulled out a bow tie from under his collar, and said "this is it lets go." He then opened the door and sang to me through the vineyard. At the end of the song he led me to an outdoor canopy walkway in the middle of the vineyards where all of our closest family and friends where waiting for us and cheered us on. After walking past everyone he proposed! We then spent the rest of the afternoon with our family and friends with hors d’oeuvres and wine tastings in a private cave at the winery.
We then headed to Devang's home in Napa where he had more snacks, champagne and spent time with friends and family. At the house there was another surprise for me which was a basket filled with sunscreen, Hawaiian chips, and 2 tickets to Hawaii for the next day!!
